Rovo is now included in your paid Atlassian Cloud plan. Let us make it count for your business. Tangible results, built to last.

Melbourne HQ, nationwide service The DI AI Foundry methodology

The opportunity: turn bundled Rovo into coordinated team capability

Rovo is available across your organisation as part of your existing Atlassian Cloud subscription. People are starting to use Search to find work faster, asking Chat the questions they used to ask in Slack, and exploring the pre-built agents that come with Jira and Confluence. The next step is coordination: which teams use what, which agents are verified for shared use, which workflows get rebuilt, and how the whole thing stays governed. The organisations that get ahead move from individual experimentation to a coordinated operating system. That is exactly what the Rovo AI Fast Start delivers.

One shared context that compounds

Every team draws on the same Teamwork Graph, so the answer is consistent across Jira, Confluence, the browser and Slack, and every conversation, action and agent feeds it back so your Rovo investment gets sharper over time.

Federated search that actually works

Atlassian apps plus connected SaaS (Google Drive, Slack, SharePoint, Salesforce and more) searchable from one place, with permissions respected.

Pre-built and verified agents per team

Sales, marketing, product, leadership and operations each get the agents that match their workflows, with verification rules in place so trust is earned.

Governance and credit visibility

Clear policies for what data Rovo can read, who can build agents, where data residency sits, and how monthly Rovo credits are being spent.

One methodology. 10 steps. Every platform.

Like a Formula One pit stop, every step is choreographed for speed, precision, and zero wasted motion. Steps 1 to 9 are identical across every platform. Step 10 is where your chosen track takes over.

01

Security assessment

Comprehensive security briefing and documentation to accelerate your cybersecurity and governance approval process.

02

Policy development

Pre-built policy templates covering AI usage, safety, and compliance. Governance frameworks ready for your organisation from day one.

03

Core configuration

Configure and activate your chosen platform with the right settings for your environment, data, and team structure.

04

Access control

Document and implement permission structures controlling AI access across your teams, projects, and data sources.

05

AI prompt library

Deploy a curated AI Prompt Library with pre-built, tested templates tailored to your team's most common workflows and use cases.

06

AI Foundry setup

Establish the infrastructure for systematic agent development and testing. The foundation for building and scaling AI agents over time.

07

Data assessment and quick wins

Assess your data sources, identify immediate AI opportunities, and implement quick wins that demonstrate value before the engagement closes.

08

Training delivery

Comprehensive enablement for end users and your internal AI team. Practical, hands-on training built around your real workflows.

09

Use case development

Identify, evaluate, and prioritise use cases for agent development. Strategic planning grounded in your environment, not generic AI hypotheticals.

10
Your track takes over

Agent deployment

Deploy production-ready Rovo into your environment, scoped to your priorities: governed Rovo Search and Chat, verified pre-built agents, and one custom Rovo Studio agent per pilot team, live in Jira and Confluence. This is where the Business Track delivers.

The Business Track: Atlassian Rovo for business teams

The AI Fast Start programme runs Business and Technical tracks in parallel. This page is the Business Track, focused on Atlassian Rovo. Its sibling, the Rovo Dev AI Fast Start, is the Technical Track focused on Rovo Dev across the software development lifecycle. The pilot cohort is your sales, marketing, product, leadership, operations or HR teams, and the success measure is shipped work.

Rovo everywhere across your business

Rovo meets each business team where they already work. The Business Track covers the highest-leverage workflow per team so the value is visible from week one. The seven teams below are the option set, not the scope of a single Fast Start: a Fast Start pilots 2 to 3 teams.

A complete Rovo operating system for your business teams

The outcome is the same regardless of which team you start with: Rovo becomes a governed, coordinated business capability, not a collection of individual experiments.

Federated search that works

Rovo Search configured across Atlassian apps and connected SaaS (Google Workspace, Slack, SharePoint, Salesforce, HubSpot and more) with permissions respected and admin bookmarks for the most-used answers.

Governed Chat for everyone

Rovo Chat enabled with the right defaults: Chat for fast answers, Think deeper for harder questions, and Deep research when you need a sourced, structured answer. Max mode (early access) adds deeper reasoning for complex multistep asks as Atlassian rolls it out.

The right agents verified for use

Pre-built Atlassian agents (Service Triage, Decision Director, Product Requirements and others) enabled and verified. One custom Rovo Studio agent per pilot team. Agent profiles documented and shareable.

Workflow integration by team

Sales, marketing, product, leadership, operations and HR each get the workflow integration that fits their daily work, not generic enablement.

Asset register and champion network

Saved prompts, verified agents, automation patterns and search bookmarks documented in Confluence and tracked in Jira. Champions identified in each pilot team to sustain the practice.

Governance, credits and visibility

Org-level AI access policies, agent-builder permissions, third-party data ingestion controls, and a Rovo credit-usage dashboard so leadership has clear visibility from day one.

Business and technical track investment

The Fast Start runs as two tracks on the same methodology: the Business Track gets your teams productive with Rovo, and the Technical Track focuses your developers on Rovo Dev. Run one or both.

The investment above is Design Industries' fixed-price implementation and enablement service. For the Business Track, Rovo is included in your Atlassian Cloud Standard, Premium or Enterprise plan. There is no separate per-seat fee for Rovo Chat, Search, agents or Studio. Your Rovo credit allowance is based on your plan tier and seat count, and we model your monthly usage on the assessment call before scope is locked. For the Technical Track, Rovo Dev requires its own Atlassian subscription, purchased separately per developer; we confirm entitlement on the assessment call.

From pilot to business-wide adoption

The Fast Start delivers the essentials and sets a clear direction. To extend Rovo across the whole organisation (multi-team rollout, custom Rovo Studio agents for every business function, ongoing connector configuration, agent governance at scale, licence and credit optimisation, and Atlassian platform improvement) organisations move into a Digital Factory partnership: our three-pillar managed service covering licensing optimisation, platform support, and strategic improvement hours.

The Fast Start is the entry point. The Digital Factory is where the compounding begins.

Why Design Industries for Rovo

Early Rovo deployment partner

We were among the earliest Atlassian Solution Partners in Australia to deploy Rovo into production. We have moved Rovo from beta through to Rovo for all alongside our customers and our own team, so the lessons are real and current.

Atlassian-native, not bolted on

Rovo is grounded in the Atlassian Teamwork Graph, the same connective layer your work already runs on. We are an Atlassian Solution Partner with two decades of enterprise platform experience. Rovo is the tool we use to run our own business.

We build production systems, not slide decks

Deep expertise across Rovo Studio, Atlassian Forge, MCP and connected SaaS integration. Custom agents, governed automation and real business outcomes. Your teams learn from consultants who use Rovo every day.

Formula One precision

Every hour counts. Focused execution in weeks, not quarters. No discovery paralysis, no scope creep. The Business Track moves quickly because the methodology is already proven.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the Business Track or the Technical Track?
Business Track. This engagement is focused on Atlassian Rovo (Search, Chat, agents, Studio) for business teams. Its sibling, the Rovo Dev AI Fast Start, is the Technical Track focused on Rovo Dev across the software development lifecycle for engineering teams. Many organisations run both in the same quarter.
What is the difference between Rovo and Rovo Dev?
Rovo is the broader AI platform for business teams across Jira, Confluence, JSM and connected SaaS: Search, Chat, agents and the Rovo Studio builder. Rovo Dev is a separate paid product purpose-built for engineering teams, with the CLI, IDE plugins and PR review for the software development lifecycle. They share the Teamwork Graph context but are bought, billed and rolled out differently.
Do we need to pay extra for Rovo?
No. Rovo is now included in all paid Atlassian Cloud Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans for Jira, Confluence, JSM and Teamwork Collection. Your monthly Rovo credit allowance is based on your plan tier and seat count. Atlassian is not currently charging for usage above the included allowance, and has committed to 90 days notice and explicit opt-in before any overage billing starts. The Fast Start investment on this page is Design Industries' implementation service, not a Rovo licence fee.
What is the difference between Rovo AI Fast Start and Claude AI Fast Start?
Different platform, same methodology. Rovo AI Fast Start covers Atlassian's native AI for business teams across Jira, Confluence, JSM and connected SaaS. Claude AI Fast Start covers the full Claude ecosystem for business and engineering teams. They are complementary, not competing. Many organisations run both within the same quarter.
Which business team should we start with?
The discovery step (DI AI Foundry step 3) picks the highest-leverage team based on your current pain. The two most common starting points are sales (account research and in-channel deflection deliver visible value in days) and product (agents in Jira and PRD acceleration close the plan-to-execution loop). Marketing, leadership, operations and HR follow once the foundation is in place.
Is our data safe?
Yes. Rovo is built on the same security, privacy and compliance foundation as Jira, Confluence and JSM. Atlassian's LLM providers operate under zero-data-retention contracts and do not train on your data. Rovo respects your existing Atlassian permissions, connector permissions and audit log policies. We configure agent verification rules, sharing controls and third-party data ingestion policies in week one.
How does Rovo compare to Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini or Glean?
Different positioning. Copilot and Gemini are strongest inside Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace respectively. Glean is strongest as a vendor-neutral enterprise knowledge layer across many tools. Rovo is strongest when your team already works in Jira and Confluence and you want AI inside that exact flow, grounded in the Teamwork Graph. Many organisations run more than one. The Fast Start includes a fit assessment so the decision is informed, not assumed.
Can our agents read data from outside Atlassian?
Yes. Rovo Search connects to 50+ third-party SaaS sources including Google Workspace, Slack, SharePoint, Salesforce, HubSpot, GitHub, Figma and Notion. Rovo agents can read from those sources with permissions respected. Rovo Studio agents can also use Atlassian Forge and the Rovo MCP server to take action in those tools where the integration supports it. We configure the right connectors in step 5 of the engagement.
What happens after the Fast Start?
You have governed Rovo Search and Chat live across the pilot teams, verified pre-built agents enabled, one custom Rovo Studio agent per pilot team, a champion network, a credit-usage baseline, an asset register in Jira and Confluence, and a 90-day adoption plan. The Fast Start is designed as the entry point to a Digital Factory partnership, where the full capability roadmap gets built and expanded over time using prepaid strategic improvement hours.

Michael and the Design Industries team have done an incredible job managing the scope and stand-up of our Atlassian instance. The rigour and detail in their process and documentation is incredible.
Dave Keating
Chief Operating Officer · Clemenger BBDO
We reduced a number of tools across regions that caused miscommunication and inefficiency, bringing everyone into a single platform. By using the DI Configuration Patterns, we rapidly scaled Atlassian from 500 to 7,000 users, at the bare minimum doubling the efficiency of our teams, who are working on core bank payment systems such as our .com.
